This week’s prize is the book “We the People: The Story of Our Constitution” by Lynne Cheney.
On December 10th, 1778 this person was elected to be the President of the Continental Congress. He was very instrumental in causing the Constitution to be ratified, by writing the Federalist Papers, along with James Madison and Alexander Hamilton. He also helped to write the Constitution of New York, and from 1795 to 1801 he held the position of Governor of that State. Name this Continental Congress President and Governor of New York.
