Passing away on July 23rd, 1793 this founding father was the only one to have signed all four of America’s founding documents (The Articles of Associations 1774, The Declaration of Independence 1776, The Articles of Confederation 1778, and The U.S. Constitution 1787). During the Constitutional Convention he was instrumental in resolving the conflict over representation between the big States and the small States by purposing “The Connecticut Compromise”. Thomas Jefferson once described him as “a man who never said a foolish thing in his life” and John Adams said he was “an old Puritan, as honest as an angel and as firm in the cause of American Independence as Mount Atlas”. Name this Founding Father.

This week’s prize is the John Wayne DVD combo movie set including “Flying Leathernecks, Operation Pacific, Back to Bataan, and They Were Expendable“
The movie “Flying Leathernecks” released on July 18th, 1951 was inspired by this real World War II flying ace played by John Wayne as Major Kirby. As Commanding Officer of VMF-223 he shot down 19 Japanese planes in World War II and led his squadron to a destroy a total of 83 enemy aircraft during the Solomon Islands campaign. He would later be awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions. Name the real life flying ace which inspired the movie “Flying Leathernecks”.
