Presently located in Geneseo, Illinois this firearms company took it’s name from the Massachusetts town that General George Washington himself selected in 1777 to be an armory location for the Continental Army. For the next 150 years the armory functioned as a supplier for every major American conflict as well as a think tank for new firearms concepts. One of the armory’s most well know and respected firearm was the M1 Garand, to which General George S Patton Jr. is reported as saying: “In my opinion, the M1 Rifle is the greatest battle implement ever devised”.
