This week’s prize is the new book “Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto” By Dick Armey
On August 24th, 1814 British troops set fire to Washington (D.C.) including the White House and capital buildings. The following morning Washington was still on fire and British troops continued to set fires and destroy ammunition depots; then something happened that saved Washington and perhaps the country. What happened on August 25th that saved Washington.
