Freedom Bracelet

UPDATE: We was able to meet our goal and sent out $100 to Samaritan’s Purse! Thank you to everyone who helped make the bracelets and to those who bought them.

The Carroll County Patriots Club will be making and selling the “Freedom Survival Bracelet” for our fall service project. The goal is to raise money to help free slaves – yes – there are still slaves today and even more today than there were before the American Civil War. Money raised will be donated to Samaritan’s Purse (Christmas Gift #42: Prevent Human Trafficking and Exploitation). Please contact Chris via email at chris@fortpatriot.com if you would like to help in this effort.

Around the world, an estimated 2 million boys and girls have been sold to pay off family debts or forcibly abducted by human traffickers. Countless others are lured into lives of unspeakable abuse and exploitation. Samaritan’s Purse works to reach the most vulnerable of these, protecting them or rescuing them from a fate of untold horror. Your $100 gift can provide literacy classes, vocational training, or other aid for those at risk.

Our Club goal is to raise $100.

The boys did a little geocaching today. Found 6 out of 8 in about two hours (not to bad).

Survival Saturday June 23rd

The boys learned about pulley systems and repelling today. Had a great time and learned a lot. Special thanks to the Jenkins family for having us over and providing lunch!

Snow’s Self Defense Intro Class

It was a great honor to have Master Jim Snowberger and his team as a guest speaker for our Patriots Club. The boys learned the basic rules for self defense (avoid and run away first) and how to get out of different grabs. Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the presentation. Master Snowberger is also the Carroll County VFW commander and has a real desire to teach kids the importance of patriotism. To learn more about Snow’s Mixed Martial Arts please visit his website at www.snowsmixedmartialarts.com .

Burlington Fire Station Tour

We would like to thank the Burlington Vol. Fire Department for all they do for the community and to Josh Jenkins for giving our Patriots Club a tour of the fire station. Everyone had a great time and learned alot from it. Thank You!
