UPDATE: We was able to meet our goal and sent out $100 to Samaritan’s Purse! Thank you to everyone who helped make the bracelets and to those who bought them.
The Carroll County Patriots Club will be making and selling the “Freedom Survival Bracelet” for our fall service project. The goal is to raise money to help free slaves – yes – there are still slaves today and even more today than there were before the American Civil War. Money raised will be donated to Samaritan’s Purse (Christmas Gift #42: Prevent Human Trafficking and Exploitation). Please contact Chris via email at email@example.com if you would like to help in this effort.

Around the world, an estimated 2 million boys and girls have been sold to pay off family debts or forcibly abducted by human traffickers. Countless others are lured into lives of unspeakable abuse and exploitation. Samaritan’s Purse works to reach the most vulnerable of these, protecting them or rescuing them from a fate of untold horror. Your $100 gift can provide literacy classes, vocational training, or other aid for those at risk.
Our Club goal is to raise $100.

It was a great honor to have Master Jim Snowberger and his team as a guest speaker for our Patriots Club. The boys learned the basic rules for self defense (avoid and run away first) and how to get out of different grabs. Everyone had a great time and really enjoyed the presentation. Master Snowberger is also the Carroll County VFW commander and has a real desire to teach kids the importance of patriotism.
