2012 Winter Hike

The Cutler Guardians 2012 winter (felt like spring) hike.

The boys earned 5 survival skills points on their Patriot’s Qual Card by completing their 3 mile hike.

Plan out your hike with a map of the area, and mark off check points with estimated time of arrivals. 1 – point

Pack your Back Pack with all anticipated needed gear for the planned hike. 1 – point

Add 1 point per mile hiked.

Earn additional points by watching Frontier Skills with little bear. The “Prepare your own survival pack” DVD (Disk #2) is excellent to watch before any hiking trip.

The boys also practiced their squad tactics as learned from the great “Soldiering Through History” DVD (WWII). Picture above -Left to Right: Samuel (Scout – Daniel Boone ), Isaac (Rear Guard), Jacob (Point Man), Benjamin (Squad Leader). These have excellent history lessons in them. I strongly recommend this DVD – the boys just love them!

He would later become the first Chief Justice of the US Supreme Court and was also instrumental in causing the Constitution to be ratified by writing some of the Federalist Papers.
